**Position Summary**
As a Traffic Control Flagger, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of road crews, drivers, and pedestrians by directing and controlling traffic flow at construction sites. **Key Responsibilities**
– Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely around work zones using hand signals and signs
– Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (cones, signs, barriers)
– Communicate clearly with crew members and motorists
– Remain alert and aware of your surroundings at all times
– Follow safety protocols and project-specific instructions
– Provide excellent representation of Southern Maine Temps and our clients on-site
**Requirements**
– Must be at least 18 years old
– Reliable transportation to and from job sites
– Ability to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions
– Strong communication and situational awareness
– Must be dependable and punctual
– Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings and weekends
– Current Flagger Certification is a plus (we can help you obtain one if needed)

**Preferred Qualifications**
– Previous flagging, construction, or outdoor labor experience
– Familiarity with work zone safety standards
– Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from site supervisors
